Tsyrenov Falls In Fourth Round Of Pre-Qualifying At ITA All-American

Auburn’s Alexey Tsyrenov saw his run at the Polo Ralph Lauren ITA All-American Championships end in the fourth round of pre-qualifying Sunday as he fell 6-3, 7-5 to Louisville’s Austen Childs.

On the heels of a upset victory 24 hours prior, the Auburn football team returned to the practice fields Sunday with a brief practice in preparations for its upcoming conference game against Vanderbilt. The Tigers host the Commodores Saturday at 11:30 a.m. CT at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Volleyball Falls In Sweep To Visiting Ole Miss

Ole Miss hit a blazing .312 as the Auburn volleyball team (9-8, 1-5 SEC) lost 3-0 to the Lady Rebels (13-4, 3-3 SEC) Sunday at the Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum Sunday afternoon. Ole Miss won the match in three straight games, 30-22, 30-26, 30-18.

AUBURN - The Auburn equestrian team defeated the Gamecocks in the hunt seat 7-3 nd then won a tiebreaker in western based on raw score, 662.5-661. “I fell really good about this win today,” said coach Greg Williams. “They are a great team. Being at home can help you because you have the advantage of knowing the horses well.”

Auburn University (AU or Auburn) is a state university located in Auburn, Alabama, USA. With more than 23,000 students and 1,200 faculty, it is the largest university in the state, and according to U.S. News & World Report, has a selectivity rating of "more selective." Auburn was chartered on February 1, 1856, as the East Alabama Male College, a private liberal arts school affiliated with the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. The college was donated to the state of Alabama in 1872, when it became the state's public land-grant university under the Morrill Act and was renamed the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama. In 1892, the college became the first four-year coeducational school in the state. The college was renamed the Alabama Polytechnic Institute (API) in 1899.
