Auburn Softball Travels to Columbus for NFCA Leadoff Classic

The Auburn softball team opens play at the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Ga., Friday with a 3 p.m. CT game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (5-8) and a 5:30 p.m. CT game against Winthrop (7-6).

Auburn at Arkansas Men’s Basketball Game Selected as TV Wildcard

The Auburn at Arkansas men’s basketball game in Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville on March 8 will be televised live by ESPN Classic at 5 pm Central, the Southeastern Conference announced Thursday after Raycom Sports and ESPN Classic made their wildcard selections.

Auburn’s Korvotney Barber To Miss Rest Of The Season

Junior Korvotney Barber, who has not played since breaking his left hand three minutes into the Dec. 29 Towson game, will miss the remainder of the 2007-08 season, head coach Jeff Lebo announced Thursday. He was leading the nation shooting 72.0 percent from the field and averaging both team-highs of 14.8 points and 7.3 rebounds on the season before he was injured.

Auburn Football Practice Report

With frigid temperatures in the air, the Auburn football team worked for nearly two and a half hours Thursday morning on the Athletic Complex practice fields. It was the squad’s third practice of Spring drills and first in full pads.

Auburn Baseball Announces Television Schedule

The Auburn baseball team will appear on television nine times this season and the athletics department will live stream 22 of Auburn’s 31 remaining home games. Auburn will appear on Sun Sports twice, including Saturday’s game at Florida State, on CSS six times and as a part of the SEC Game of the Week on FSN once.

No. 9 Women’s Golf Finishes Ninth At Wildcat Invitational

The ninth-ranked Auburn women’s golf team concluded play at the windy Wildcat Invitational on Wednesday, finishing in a tie for ninth with No. 20 Stanford. The Tigers shot 27-over 311 today at the par 71, 6,166 Arizona National Golf Course.

Auburn University (AU or Auburn) is a state university located in Auburn, Alabama, USA. With more than 23,000 students and 1,200 faculty, it is the largest university in the state, and according to U.S. News & World Report, has a selectivity rating of "more selective." Auburn was chartered on February 1, 1856, as the East Alabama Male College, a private liberal arts school affiliated with the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. The college was donated to the state of Alabama in 1872, when it became the state's public land-grant university under the Morrill Act and was renamed the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama.
