Auburn senior DeWanna Bonner was named an Associated Press Second-Team All-American, the news service announced Tuesday. It marks the second All-America honor for the Fairfield, Ala., native as she was also named an ESPN.com First-Team All-American.
Paul Davis, who served as an assistant football coach at Auburn from 1967-80 and 1987-89, passed away Tuesday at the age of 87. Davis was the Tigers’ defensive coordinator and assistant head coach under Shug Jordan from 1967-75, an assistant for Doug Barfield from 1975-80 and also was a member of Pat Dye’s staff from 1987-90.
Auburn football’s spring practice slated for Tuesday evening has been canceled due to the threat of inclement weather in the area.The Tigers will make up the practice on Wednesday, April 1 at 4:30 p.m. CT. Wednesday’s practice is the fifth practice of spring drills for Auburn. The remainder of the week, AU will practice on Thursday (4:30 p.m.), Saturday (10:30 a.m.) and Sunday (5 p.m.).
Auburn All-SEC forward Korvotney Barber has been selected to play in the prestigious 2009 Hershey’s College All-Star game to be played as part of Final Four Friday at Ford Field in Detroit at 3:30 pm Central. The game will be televised on CBS College Sports.

Auburn’s baseball game at South Alabama scheduled for 6pm on Tuesday has been postponed due to the threat of heavy rains in the Mobile area. The two teams agreed to postpone the game at 11am Tuesday morning, prior to Auburn getting on a bus for the three-and-a-half hour trip.
