Auburn Closes Out Regular Season At Home With LSU

Thursday night’s series-opening game between Auburn and LSU at 6pm CT at Plainsman Park will mark the final regular-season series for the Auburn baseball team this year. Auburn enters the game two-and-a-half games out of eighth place going into the final weekend of play.

Auburn Hosts SEC Track And Field Championships Thursday Through Sunday

The Auburn men’s and women’s track and field teams will host the SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships Thursday through Sunday at Hutsell-Rosen Track. It will mark the first time Auburn has hosted the meet since 1997.

Anna Beck from Birmingham, Ala., Kelsey George from Suwanee, Ga., Courtney Kobak from Medina, Ohio, Maggie McAlary from Amherst, N.H., Lauren Rooney from Vero Beach, Fla., Rebecca Simmons from Bremen, Ga., Grace Socha from Glenville, N.Y. and Courtney Tidmore from Arab, Ala., have signed national letters of intent to attend Auburn University and participate in equestrian for the 2008-09 season, announced head coach Greg Williams. In addition, Kendall Koby from Carmel, Ind., will join the team as well.

Tigers Blow Past Mercer In 18-6 Win

Auburn’s 11-run fourth-inning, highlighted by home runs by Matt Hall, his fourth, Joseph Sanders, his fifth, and Kevin Patterson, also his fifth, erased a five-run deficit as Auburn sent 14 hitters to the plate in the inning en route to a 18-6 win at Mercer in the final non-conference game of the season for Auburn. Michael Hurst threw a career-long 5.0 innings to pick up the win for Auburn, which moved to 28-25 on the year.

Auburn To Honor 30th Anniversary Of 1978 SEC Baseball Championship Team On Saturday

The Auburn Athletics Department and the Auburn Baseball Lettermen’s Club will recognize the 30th Anniversary of the 1978 SEC Championship baseball team during Saturday’s game 2 p.m. game versus LSU.

Auburn Baseball Heads To Mercer For Final Non-Conference Tilt On Tuesday

The Golf Coaches Association of American announced the 12-member team for the 2008 Fuji Xerox USA vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship and included on that list is Auburn freshman Cydney Clanton. The 33rd annual competition will be held July 16-18 at Tokyo Golf Club.

No. 35 Men’s Tennis Falls To No. 5 Georgia In Second Round Of NCAA Tournament

For the second year in a row, the Auburn men’s tennis team season ended at the hands of the Georgia, as the Tigers fell, 4-0, to the Bulldogs Sunday in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

Auburn University (AU or Auburn) is a state university located in Auburn, Alabama, USA.
