Five current and former Auburn swimmers advanced in Tuesday’s preliminaries at the 2008 Olympic Swimming Team Trials at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Neb. Rising junior Ava Ohlgren had the top performance of the session, finishing fourth in the women’s 200m individual medley preliminary.

Fletcher And Morris Named Freshmen All-Americans By Baseball America

Freshmen Brian Fletcher and Hunter Morris were each tabbed First Team Freshmen All-Americans by Baseball America, it was announced on Monday. This is the third time the duo has earned Freshman All-America honors as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Collegiate Baseball and Louisville Slugger had also previously tabbed the two among the best first-year players in the country.

Seven current and former Auburn swimmers advanced in Monday’s preliminaries at the 2008 Olympic Swimming Team Trials at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Neb. The big event of the session for Auburn was the women’s 100m backstroke as four Tigers advanced to the semifinals after finishing in the top 16.

Auburn University (AU or Auburn) is a state university located in Auburn, Alabama, USA.
