Margaret Hoelzer Sets New World Record In 200m Back At Olympic Trials
Former Auburn swimmer and Huntsville, Ala., native Margaret Hoelzer earned an Olympic berth in her second event Saturday night at the 2008 Olympic Trials as she broke the world record in the 200m backstroke, winning the event with a time of2:06.09. She breaks the world record time of 2:06.39, held by her former Auburn teammate and Zimbabwe Olympian Kirsty Coventry.
